I made it to Estonia! My family got off the cruise ship the first morning of our arrival and walked to our Airbnb. We explored the old town and decided to climb a church tower. It was cool! The stairs were super high and super steep though! But the top had a really cool view of Tallin. The first day, we just explored and walked around. And of course we had to stop and get some pastries to bring home. Lol. They were pretty good.
The next day my family got on a tour bus (Hop On Hop Off) and we rode around for a while. We wore headphones and listened to an audio about different places. Funny story, so I can’t hear out of regular headphones very well especially in noisy places. This is due to my small ear canals. Anyway, so I couldn’t really hear the audio. I had randomly put the earphone in my mouth (I know weird I’d do that, haha) and I could hear it!! Haha bone conduction! So that was cool. Lol. I listened to the audio through my mouth!
We got off the tour bus at this really beautiful palace! We walked around the grounds and it was gorgeous. We headed back to the old town and walked the city wall. When on the wall you can see above all the buildings. The buildings in Estonia are really neat! The rooftops are orange and they just are really cool looking! We headed back to our Airbnb after our walk on the wall. But waaaaait… we had to stop and have a pastry tasting contest. We stopped and got 5 different pastries and rated them. Lol. Dang why does this kind of food have to be so good?!
On the last day in Estonia, my mom and I went to go find a laundry mat. It was supposed to be a “20 minute walk” but it ended up being a lot longer than that (meaning we were so lost). There are these bikers around Estonia that have carts to take people places. We decided to catch one and have him take us to the laundry mat. But then two policemen came over to the biker while we were there and told us he was illegal. Lol so that killed our idea. My mom was getting frustrated so she decided to say a prayer and within two steps after the prayer… we ran into LDS missionaries!! They had been to the laundry mat before so they took us there safely! They truly were life savers!! It was cool because my mom’s prayer was answered!
Check out that street sign. lol ^^^^
Estonia was a fun experience. It is very commercialized but my family enjoyed walking around and exploring the Old Town part of Tallin. I’m “Tallin’ ya It had good food… especially pastries. ;) And I’m ‘Tallin’ ya good times were made here in Estonia! :)
